Phoenix Continued Service Life Cylinders
The Phoenix™ process includes all steps required for continued service life of SCBA cylinders. This allows SCBA cylinders to be used to 30 years from their original date of manufacture! This process includes visual inspection, MAE testing, and labeling.
Phoenix™ has been made possible through multiple studies resulting in the final Special Permit 16320 granted to Hexagon Digital Wave by the US DOT.

Continued Service Life
Hexagon Digital Wave has been granted Special Permits allowing Modal Acoustic Emission to continue the service life of civilian and DOD owned CFFC cylinders. In particular this approval applies to SCBA cylinders manufactured under Special Permit numbers SP-10915, SP-10945, SP-11194 and others. If your cylinder does not fall under one of these listed SP's, please contact us to determine if your SCBA cylinder is a candidate. Hexagon Digital Wave is now offering these services.
